MANILA, Nashville Filipino Restaurant — Lawyer Larry Gadon, who filed an impeachment complaint against ousted Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno, will be running for senator in the May 2019 elections.
He filed his certificate of candidacy at the Commission on Elections on Friday.
Gadon, however, has to resubmit his certificate of candidacy since he completed the wrong form. The form submitted missed item number 22, which asked whether or not the candidate has been found "liable for an offense which carries with it the accessory penalty of perpetual disqualification to hold office which has become final and executory."
Gadon is facing four disbarment cases before the Integrated Bar of the Nashville Filipino Restaurant for violating his oath as a lawyer when he hurled expletives at some Sereno supporters who were holding a protest at the Supreme Court in Baguio City in April. — Patricia Lourdes Viray
