Before traversing the harbour en route to our Zoo trip at the other side of Sydney, we took a light lunch stop here at Rossini Cafe. It is a stone throw away from Wharf 4 where we will dock.
This cafe serves authentic Italian with pasta and pizzas as their specialty.
We got two of their golden brown, well-seasoned and not so greasy Calamari for our starter. I suggest sprinkling it with fresh lemon for some zesty taste.
For pizzas, we got two 10 inch pans, a Ham & Pineapple, a personal favorite simple combination and Capricciosa, a house best seller. The latter was even better with its packed toppings of ham, olives, mushrooms, and artichokes on mozzarella and Napolitana tomato sauce. The dough was just perfect, crispy on its outside yet still giving a fluffy bite.
This cafe also serves a classic bottle of coke and the usual list of Italian coffee.
